Race Category "Senior", i need an explination

Juniors may ride with seniors, but Youth (10 year olds) may not.

OBRA has 4 age group names, they are: Youth, Junior, Senior and Master.
Kenji is right as to the technical definitions, I have nothing to add to that.

Categories are what they are, so you have a matrix almost, and a Senior P/1/2 is both a age and category defined race.

Just to add to the confusion, female riders may also race in the "mens" race at their category level, or one category lower.

for age, you can race in your age group, or you can race in seniors, but if the age group is limited (i.e. 35-44) and you are older or younger you can't race in it, BUT if it is 35+ and you are 136 you can race in it, EVEN if the promoter also has a 45+ race.

Juniors may race in Senior races if they meet the category requirements.
Senior does not imply any age requirement. Masters default is 40+ but may
be any age from 30+. Junior default age is 18- but also might be restricted
to any age range <19 and >9.

So I almost feel stupid asking this but in road racing "Senior" is a reference to P/1/2?  Where "master" is a reference to age.

Is that correct?
