Frame/Fork/HS is only being sold. NOT COMPLETE BIKE. Typical Slawta build of this era: Fillet-brazed Dedacciai steel tubing - Ritchey vertical dropouts -27.2 post - 1 1/8 threadless - 130mm in the rear - 68/ENG - external cable routing
I HATE to sell this thing, but I need to put a down payment on a vanilla this month. This bike is not and has never been a trailer queen. I have put around 4000 miles on this bike and it has many, many more left in it. I have used it as a sunny day commuter here in Portland since '06. The compact geometry is tight and aggressive. This would make a great crit bike due to its snappy handling and powerful cornering ability. The bike is is SUPER stiff for steel. I am 6' even. The bike fits like a glove with a non setback post and 100mm stem.
The paint is very unique. It's navy blue that will shine purple in the sun. There are multiple dragons hand painted on the tubes and fork legs in a royal blue/purple color. The paint job is very incognito, and is not loud or over the top like a lot of john's bikes of this era. There are some nicks/scratches in the paint from every day riding. I tried to capture the worst of it in the photos. This bike has never been laid down or crashed. I am the original owner. Mechanic owned and maintained since day one.
Sadly, steel sharks are no longer being produced at the rate that they once were. Feel free to shoot me a message if you have and questions/comments...
