Yes...I ran past this guy last year in Newport..story then was the same
passport/visa/stuff was stolen and that he needed cash to make his way to
Eugene to get his steel bike and wheel straightened. Our local shop, 15
minutes away "wouldn't help him"...what a total crock of BS.
Our local shop said that he makes his way around California, Oregon,
Washington...
He scammed a fair bit of cash and a wheelset out of OBRA last year.
