I pre-rode the course from last year and just about every possible trail
variation over six hours last Saturday with a friend. We did not
encounter any snow. The trails were beautiful,often very technical, and
highly varied. We cleared a fair amount of downed trees from the Camas
creek trail section. It is now almost totally clear, although I don't
know if it will be used next Sunday.
Overall, we had a blast out there- the course looks to be very demanding
and fun.
I'm guessing that there will only be small stretches of pavement and
gravel. It looks like most of the course will be on wide motorcycle
trails, with some sections of very technical, rocky, of camber, and
rooted trails along creeks.
We got the course map from last year from the race organizer, Petr, at
skibowl on saturday. The race looks to be on for sure, as we did not
hear otherwise and they were making course signs while we were there.
