William Laubernds
Welcome to another great season of Monday Night PIR presented by Team
Oregon. As always, Monday Night PIR is Portland's premier race for Women,
Masters (ages 30+), and Novice Racers. For 2013 much of the great racing
remains the same with a few minor upgrades.
*Monthly Series Leader's Jerseys presented by
Castelli
*:
In their continuing commitment to the Oregon bike racing scene, Castelli
has stepped up big yet again to deliver jerseys to the winners for the 4/5
and 1/2/3 fields. These jerseys will be iconic and let everyone in town
know you reigned supreme for an entire month at Monday PIR. Not to mention
you will get a free jersey from the best technical manufacturer in the
business. Huge thanks to Castelli for
making this happen.

*Free Rider Clinic presented by Upper Echelon Fitness and
Rehabilitation
:*
Upper Echelon will once again be out at every Monday Night PIR to offer
free clinics to racers. These clinics are taught by professional cycling
coaches. In years past, many riders have commented how beneficial they have
been. Whether you are an experienced racer or a first timer, come to
clinics for advice on registration, pace lining, how to form and echelon,
etc.
The first Monday of every month will have a women's only clinic. These
clinics are run by women for women, so if you know any ladies interested in
racing, this is a fantastic place to start.
*Let's Race Bikes First Monday:*
**Those of you that haven't heard, there is an initiative called Let's Race
Bikes put on by a group awesome women in Oregon. The goal of this
organization is to encourage more women racers and help break down the
barriers to entry. Every first Monday of the Month, the ladies of Let's
Race Bikes will be out in full force to help new riders and fill-up the
categories If you know any ladies interested in riding seriously and
racing, getting in touch with this organization is a must!
