Dave Masessa
A big thank you to all of you out there who responded to this and stepped up to help Alex and the Shepherd family. If you haven't seen it, please take a look and consider a donation.
Alex is going to need 2 seperate surgeries to remove the tumor. The first will also determine what type of glioma it is and give an idea to further treatments.
Thank you!
This is a statement from Alex Shepherds Mom when she found out about the fundraising site.
"You know, I would always be frustrated when Dan spent so much time on his bike with his "cycling buddies"...now I get why. The love, support, prayers, & generosity that is coming from his cycling community is overwhelming. There are no words that can rightly explain our thankfulness. Thank you everyone! With Love & Gratitude, Aushna (Alex's mom)"
Alex is an 11 year old boy who raced in 33 OBRA races last year. He is such a great all around kid. This tragedy could happen to all of our families. I'm sure if that happened, each of us would need supporting. PLEASE, in honor of his age and this fight, I'm challenging all of you in the OBRA cycling community to donate $11 to Alex. That small amount will make huge differences if we all come together. It takes less than a minute to donate. Check out the page and read about Alex. Thank you OBRA!
