To the 58 women who took on the challenging course
at TST last Saturday: PLEASE consider racing at
Columbia Plateau in Oregon on May 2-4. You'll see
from the
message below that we are in danger of losing the
women's event at this epic Northwest race due to a
low turnout. Whether you race for social fun or
physical challenge, you will get your fill of both
at
Columbia Plateau, and your sense of accomplishment
at the
finish will be unparalleled. It is a
point-to-point
stage race with no crit, so you never see the same
scenery twice. And the scenery is spectacular.
Don't be scared away by the length of the final
stage:
tradition compels the race leaders to keep the race
together until mid-point on the stage. You'll find
someone to ride with whether you want to race or
tour, and a fun time is had by all in the towns
where we
finish. The chief referee would be racing with us
except that she could find no one else to take her
spot as an official!
