I sent this email to the team in question that will remain anonymous, but I believe a good lesson for all:

Hello,

I heard from a friend that 20-30 xyz members had quite the pace line going at Monster Cookie yesterday. Unfortunately race pacing with amateur cyclists is probably not the best idea. I understand you guys came by so fast and wayyyy to close (this is second hand from a dear friend that witnessed the incident) that you caused a 3 person crash. Apparently one woman was pretty banged up with some bike damage and was rather furious at xyz team. Going fast is fun, but there is a time and place for it and group rides with recreation riders is really not the place.

I thought you would want to know what happened in your wake as no one from your team bothered to stop.
