To all that responded about single speed 29er gearing suggestions for the Sisters Stampede. Thanks. For others interested, the general consensus I got was that it's a fairly fast course with punchy climbs. Something like a 32x16 or 32x 18 would be fairly good. 2:1 or close to that ratio. Again I've never ridden the area so don't shoot the messenger. This is just what people responded to me with and I was asked to post it. If this is way off feel free to chime in on gearing or course description. Thanks - Sean

Any recommendations on 29er single speed gearing for the Sisters Stampede? I've never ridden the course or the area before and most likely won't get to pre-ride beforehand. Are the climbs short and steep or longer gradual. Is there much open pedaling or more tight twisty sections? Any info would be great. Thans in advance. - Sean
