I thought I'd share an update about Alex. He and his family went up to Portland yesterday for todays surgery. He is currently in surgery at this moment with approximately 6 hrs to go. He is doing well and is stable.
Here is a message from Alex a few days ago, posted on the donation site.

"Hi it's Alex and I just want to say that I really appreciate all of the help you have done and all of the donations you guys have done to help pay for the surgeries and medical expenses. Thank you."

Please keep the Shepherd family and especially Alex in your thoughts today as they struggle through this very demanding day.

Donations to help are still being accepted. Thank you again for all that have contributed!! Alex's Mother, Aushna, said that these donations are going to allow her to stay with Alex while he is in the hospital following the surgery.
