Sorry for the misunderstanding. None of this was communicated to me and I was not trying to start anything...only really wanting clarification. My fault and I regret having said anything. I believe I had already stated it was taken care of perfectly by OBRA. I have zero complaints.
My sincere apologies.

You need to get your facts straight. There was never a dq. And in fact not
much of a warning.
This rider, who I love dearly, sent me multiple messages about the fact she
had not been placed. She also sent messages to Kenji and the Chief judge. We
spent a lot of time on it and found that the reason her number, 7180 was
read as 7160 was that her hair completely blocked her number. I sent her a
picture of the photo finish last night with a mild rebuke that maybe she
could assist the officials by having a number that people could actually
see. This little stupid thing took multiple people and the electronics way
more time than it should have.
All we are asking that if you riders want accurate results that you take
some personal responsibility. ;-)
Respectfully,
Candi

A Cat 4 woman at Banana Belt last weekend was DQ'd because her hair (in a
ponytail) obstructed part of her number as she finished 3rd. Perhaps she
should have received a warning first? Even so, she is polite and respectful
to OBRA officials about this and is accepting her DQ. Well, we all make
mistakes, she worked so hard for her place, she is a mom of two boys,
etc...maybe she can be forgiven? How about just a warning? And she
promises to braid her hair next
weekend?
