Today marks the start of the inaugural Gorge Short Track Mt. Bike Series in Cascade Locks. This 5 week series will be held at the Port of Cascade Locks new Easy Climb Trail System. Conditions are awesome right now. Dirt is in great shape with super good adhesion that allows you to rally on all the new berms that were built this past winter. Much work has been incorporated in building 50% more trails and increasing speed and turn radius to provide the ultimate short track course. A good mixture of single track, double track, and roads allow for maximum fun without having to get stuck behind that sketchy bike handler the entire race. Race #1 will be a fast flowing course. Course length is 2.23 miles long and has 131 feet of elevation per lap. Composition is made up of 11% Roads, 36% Double Track, and 53% of super fun Single Track. Register for the whole series tonight and get 5 races for the price of 4 plus enjoy the convenience of Fast Pass. With Fast Pass you sign up once, pay once, fill out one waiver, and then rest of the series simply show up on the line. Fast Pass riders will receive a call up for each race.
