logie trail

In addition to things like pot holes and loose gravel - if you see safety
issues that effect riding safety, call or email and report them.

I live on NW Skyline and am seriously disappointed by the lack of
maintenance of NW Skyline within Multnomah County. Washington County
stretches are maintained (mowed and brush trimmed), however the Multnomah
County stretches are NOT. This causes reduced sight lines around corners,
grass growing 2 to 3 feet in to the driving lane, and blind
intersections/corners.

I have been notifying the City/County for a few years, and yet they do not
mow/brush trim regularly. For example, Washington County has mowed and
trimmed the brush along NW Skyline FOUR times in the last two years.
Multnomah county has only mowed once, and not brush trimmed NW Skyline.
They only recently trimmed NW Newberry (another popular cyclist ride, both
up and down).

Please add your own squeaky noises and hopefully the Skyline and associated
roads will be safer for cyclists this year. I've seen many
motorist/cyclist interactions negatively impacted/effected by the failure
of the City/County to maintain NW Skyline.

In addition to the (503) 823-SAFE number, you can email the city by sending
a message to: safe@portlandoregon.gov
