Sweet MTB: 23 lb. 29er Hardtail
Mint Condition! Black frame color

$3,100 OBO

Nearly brand new bike, purchased January 2013. Really clean and in near showroom condition.
It's been ridden mostly mellowly and for about a dozen short rides: <150 miles. (I checked my Strava!)

Weighs in ~23 lb stock - with pedals, cages, tubeless tires setup.
Certainly race-ready, nicest bike I've ever ridden off-road.
Light, quick, great handling, efficient hardtail.

Quick point: I had never owned a Specialized and didn't know much about the 'Brain' suspension technology, I love it! No fooling around with a lockout, just ride it and forget it. Stand on the pedals and the fork is rigid, hit a bump and it releases...
Another point: the new 2013 Roval wheels weigh only 1680 grams; are setup tubeless; have the 28mm oversized hub interfaces; and DT Swiss rear mech. Very nice. The Specialized tires were another pleasant surprise: light and good tread pattern.

I did do my homework, looked at the specs and this bike is really the best price/value in 29er hardtails. Details below:

*Frame: FACT 8m carbon HT frame (PF30 BB, tapered HT)
*Fork: RockShox SID 29 Brain 90mm travel (rebound and Brain Fade adjustments)
*Brakes: Magura MT6 hydraulic disc, 180/160 mm rotors
*Shifters: Shimano SLX 2x10
*Front der: SRAM X7
*Rear der: Shimano XTR (trail setting switch)
*Crank SRAM Carbon S-2200 38 tooth/24 tooth rings
*Wheels: Roval Control 29 aluminum (1680 g), OS28 end caps
*Tires: S-Works Fast Trak/Fast Trak Control
*Saddle: Specialized Phenom

I can forward images. Email with questions.
Thanks!

James

P.S. I will be posting to craiglist as well but wanted to get it out to OBRA first...
