Hey Guys
Wanted to give you the heads up that last week late Joe lost 60% of his
land for Stagecoach from a land purchase that did not allow the event to
happen and these things do happen and it is next to impossible to
prepare....but out of that comes the opportunity to take on 24 miles at the
Alsea falls Switchback on 6/15
The event starts at 11am and while being a Series Event will double as the
OBRA State XC Champs
Each lap is 8.1 miles and that nasty climb is not in play if some of you
remember 2 years ago
overall climbing for Elite, Cat 1 and Cat 2's
Some details from my website
State xc championship categories are as follows (your State XC category
will be based on your racing age and Category) Series awards will be handed
out as well
3 laps for most or 24.3 miles and 4300 ft of climbing (most of the Climbing
is on a paved shaded BLM Road...actually 1000 feet per lap on the initial
climb..shaded and smooth!
Remember when registering you will be signing up for a Oregon XC Series
category and we will base your OBRA XC Champs category based on this by age
and Category so you have nothing to do except ride

Masters women 30-39,40-49,50-59,60+
Junior men 10-12,13-14,15-16,17-18
Junior women 10-12,13-14,15-16,17-18
(Junior titles will be based on lap 1 and all juniors will start together)
Some juniors will be riding the 2 lap cat 2 junior course for the series
Post event food, a Garmin 500 will be handed out at the raffle and cash for
the Fastest 3 men and Women overall equal cash

Wave 1 at 11am (3 Mile climb with plenty of room for passing)
Elite Men, Elite Women (3 laps)
Cat 1 Men and Cat 1 Women all (3 laps)
Cat 2 men and Cat 2 Women all (Note Junior cat 2 will stay back with Junior
wave below and race 2 laps) State Junior titles will be based on the first
lap placing
