Last night was my first ( and probably last ) attempt at keeping track of
who placed where. It was a true learning experience. It's a lot easier to
race. Trust me on this. Watching Candi and crew get the top ten on the
final lap was amazing. I had a hard time getting the first two places
straight. Ten years of practice definitely helps.
Here is a tip on making things easier for scoring. ( And yes you have heard
this before. )
Wear your number so it is readable. This includes both position (
horizontal to the ground when you are down in the drops ), orientation (
readable from left to right ), and planar integrity ( pin it on so it's taut
and not flapping in the wind ).
And of course, be polite to the officials.
