Whoopee - what's next? -- Motorcyclist's complaining that it's too hard

on their brakes (feet & hands) to stop effectively / completely at

intersections!!?? <whine / whimper> "It hurts to downshift, stop, and

put my foot down" <whimper / whine>

I live in Corvallis where many of the University students already ignore

the wearing of helmets as well as the stop signs and lights in town -

it's annoying, dangerous AND they're generally not even clipped in.

As someone who also needs to drive frequently, this bill is just way too

dangerous for all involved - unless you're in the middle of Eastern

Oregon of course.

However, just in case you think this is a good idea - it's bad enough

riding and sharing the road with the motorists now (in some areas), just

wait until this bill passes - all the more reasons for the motorists to

"drive aggressively" when you're around.

My 2 cents.

Maybe they should just take the bus or drive a car.

That is not the point... we ask to share the road... that requires

following the accepted rules of the road. To say that 'bicyclists

do not have to come to a complete stop' is a bad idea. Period.

This has 'flirting with disaster' written all over it.
