Mountain Bike License Upgrade/Purchase Procedure

Greetings!

I've been getting lots of questions about how to upgrade a license (or buy a

new one) and do so before the next race. Here's the plan...

1.) Fill out your race registration and send it in (if you wish). Simply

indicate you'll be picking up your license at the event.

2.) Show up when registration opens. This is very important. The

officials who are selling licenses are often also racing. If you show up

late, they may have things shut down so they can warm up for the race.

3.) Pick up your OBRA plate and pay accordingly ($5 for non-junior upgrade,

$15 for ATB-only non-junior, $5 for ATB-add on, non-junior, $0 for junior).

Fill out your OBRA annual license app. so we have your info to enter into

the database.

4.) Collect your race packet, and make sure they have recorded your new

number.

The difficulty in sending licenses to folks lies in the fact that multiple

officials are handling licenses depending on which official is working which

event. The plates are often in transport or being mailed, and this makes it

somewhat difficult to get the plate mailed, and to also get the data in the

database.

Make sense?

Thanks for you patience. Let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,

Jim Fischer
