I'm sure there is some logic behind this, though nothing comes to mind. I

agree too that this bill will not affect the strained relationship autos

have with bikes. Whenever I come to a 4 way I try to time my turn through

if there are multiple cars there. Stopping and taking my shoe off the pedal

slows down the 4 way stop rhythm. But then again sometimes motorists don't

think your ever stopped until you practically dismount your bike. Then

others wait until you completely stop with one foot on the ground and then

wave you through. That is most irritating to me. I think the positive

thing here is not getting a ticket when I blow through an empty

intersection.

'Zactly. I'm going to do what I've always done. Stop when it's the

right/safe thing to do, roll through when I can, and assume that anything

with

4 or more wheels is going to do it's level best to kill me.

You can argue all you want about this bill being a

waste of the legislatures time and I wouldn't

disagree. But to say it will have any impact on

accidents or drivers perception of cyclists is crazy.

This bill won't effect in the slightest bit how people

cycle. We will all continue to cycle as we always

have, all of us. Those who stop fully at stop signs

(are there any?) will continue to do so and those who

just slow down, look and roll through will also

continue. Don't get so worked up over it.

Don't we as riders have
