OBRA cyclists:
The 8th Annual Ben Eder Memorial Coast Hills Mtn Bike Classic is but 10 short days away!!! Sunday, May 18th will bring something for everyone on the beautiful Central Oregon Coast. Whether you are a seasoned mountain biker or you have yet to do a Cross-Country event, we have the race for you!!! Spring is here, weather is improving, and our trails are beautiful and fun to ride. A course for the all-around strong rider with challenging climbs that keep coming, fast and technical singletrack descents, and SEVENTY enthusiastic volunteers to make it a SPECTACULAR experience. Proceeds benefit the Newport High School National Honor Society (including annual scholarships) and the NHS Mountain Bike Club (which played a developmental role in Damian Schmitt and Daimeon Shanks among others). We are taking pre-registrations now and they are coming in like crazy! Kids race at 1:30 with no entry fee and a free t-shirt to all riders, we had 50 last year aged 10 & under!
