*The Portland Velo Racing Team reluctantly announces the cancellation of
the Ankeny Road Race that was to be held on June 22nd. We went to great
lengths to get the necessary volunteers and people in place, but we were
unable to muster enough troops to ensure that we put on a safe and
successful race. We appreciate the support of Kenji, Mike Stockton, the
Portland Velo organizing committee, those OBRA racers that already
preregistered, and all those that did step up to volunteer.*

*We would also like to thank all of our sponsors for their support and the
prizes, schwag, and services that they have and were going to provide on
race day. *

community and will look to put on a fun and challenging event in 2014. **
