For what it's worth, I used Analytic Cycling's cadence/speed model and using
a total wheel/tire diameter of 68.4 mm and a 39/17 gearing for 30 MPH, their
result was 163 RPM. This is way low. With 39/17 gearing it takes 185 RPM
to hit 30 MPH on the street. Even allowing for some measurement errors when
programming my bike computer, this is a significant deviation.
