Just off the phone with the Parks Dept.

Even though everyone seems to think it's a good idea, including us, both
the Water Bureau and Parks Dept. (the two agencies I interface with) are
likely going to make having a lead motorcycle impossible for us. If it's
not impossible, at least it will be more expensive -- and come with more
hoops for us to jump through.

In addition to new park fees for motor vehicles, there will be new
insurance requirements for us, we will have to provide proof ahead of time
that the rider has a motorcycle endorsement and insurance on their
motorcycle, there are concerns about motor vehicles on a roadway that is
otherwise closed to traffic at that time, concerns over exceeding the speed
limit, and so on and so forth…

I am working on it, but please appreciate that it's not as simple as having
someone show up and ride.
