----
We just posted the final call-up list for tomorrow's Six Hours of Mt Hood, with all 232 racers who pre-registered for the 2013 race!
Online registration has closed, but on-site registration and racer packet/plate pick-up will be open today(4-6pm) and Sunday (7-9pm), at the Skibowl office on the main parking lot.
We have about 70 commemorative pint glasses and racer packets left, which we will give to the first 70 racers who come through on-site registration, so show up early and still get in on all the goodness!
Some other important reminders:
- The start will be staged on the Skibowl parking lot, east of the main building.
- All solo racers and all two-person team riders who plan to race the first lap for their team must be "race ready" by 9:30am.
- At 9:30am there will be a racer briefing, which ALL RIDERS MUST ATTEND (including any 2-person team riders who are not racing the first lap).
- We will start doing call-ups right after the racer briefing. The Chief Referee might change the order in which we will call-up categories.
- We will have two aid stations at the finish area: the SOLO AID STATION will reserved for solo riders. Besides hydration (in cups and coolers) and food, the solo station will provide room for solo racers to stash bottles, bags and anything they like to have handy during the race. The 2-PERSON AID STATION is for all other racers and will feature the same food and hydration items, but we ask you to use your own bottles to fill up on water or Hammer HEED.
- It promises to be a beautiful, sunny day up the mountain, with temperatures 10-15 degrees cooler than in Portland or anywhere else in the Valley or Bend. However, it will be a long day, so bring plenty of sun protection and don't forget to re-apply frequently throughout the day!
- Licenses massage therapist Melody Christensen will be on site from 1pm through the end of the event to provide "race massages" at $1/minute, so make sure to bring cash.
- Finally, don't forget to bring a couple $1 bills for the post-race beers (the post-race chili is on us, but for OLCC reasons, the beer will be $1/cup).
That's all. Hope to see you tomorrow on the mountain!
