The 2013 Double Cross starts one month from today! We're super excited to be back in Hood River this year, and have great courses in store for you. The flyer should be live on the OBRA calendar soon, but for now, here are some important links for you:

As always, there are lots of great things for families to do while in the Gorge. Check out the Hood River Chamber of Commerce for more details and camping/lodging info: hoodriver.org

Registration will be with AthletePath this year. For Saturday, go to www.athletepath.com/double-cross/2013-09-14

For Sunday, go to www.athletepath.com/double-cross/2013-09-15

Maps are available.

Sunday: http://goo.gl/maps/3ouXx

Don't forget that the Saturday race is part of the GP Erik Tonkin. Sunday is not part of the JCS, but will be more Junior-friendly. We'll have a full schedule of Junior racing both days (and kiddie races both days, too). Also, each race will have points, along with the Battle at Barlow, for call-ups at the first Cross Crusade.

Can you believe it's only two months until the 2013 Hood River Double Cross? I hope you've had a great season of road racing, crits, mountain bikes, short track, track, etc., because the real season is just around the corner.

I'll have a flyer up soon, but the big news is that we will be returning to Hood River Valley High School for both days. That's right, two days at the HRVHS campus.

Saturday, September 14th will be the 3rd race in the GPET (Gran Prix Erik Tonkin) Series. We will use one of the classic courses, a slightly more technical affair (remember the sidehill sandbox?).

Sunday, September 15th will be a more Junior-friendly day, a little smoother and faster.

We'll have kiddie races both days and prizes from all sorts of local Hood River businesses. Come for the race, stay for the restaurants, shopping, fresh fruit, scenic views, etc.

Look for much more info in the next couple of weeks, but put Double Cross on your calendar today.

Now, get out there and enjoy all that OBRA has to offer!

Thanks,

Jeff Lorenzen
