Hi everyone,

For those of you who didn't receive the email I sent out earlier today, here are a couple updates, ahead of next Monday's Short Track race # 7 and the Series Grand Finale (and Ultra Short Track Team Relay) one week after.

With just two more races left, we are now officially in the home stretch of the 2013 Portland Short Track Series and we will do our best to make it two fun ones!

1) This Monday, we're going casual!
In good tradition and per popular request, it's time for our annual Summer Casual Race Outfit Contest!* Leave the spandex at home and come race in your best summer casual race outfit. We'll have special prizes for the most hilarious outfits (male & female) in each race heat, so think beyond just cut-off jeans and t-shirts.... anything goes, as long as it doesn't weird out Candi or any of our kiddie racers!

* Participation in the contest is free. Judging will be done based on photos submitted by racers by Wed 7/24. All winners will be listed on our web site later next week.

2) Also this Monday: special Kids Short Track night!
Talking about our kiddie racers... next Monday, The Camas Bikes & Sport team will be out in force to cater a special Kids Short Trace night!
Besides the usual FREE kiddie races (for beginner and expert kids), they will bring out some skinnies and a teeter for the kids to ride on after their race. And they'll throw in some special post-race treats for all kids in attendance! So bring out the whole family to enjoy another beautiful summer night under the trees!

3) Results and Series Standings:
Results of last Monday's race and series standings after six races have been posted (check links at http://www.portlandracing.com/results.html). The best 7 races (out of 8) will count towards the final series standings, so a lot can still change in those last two races!

4) Get ready for the Series Grand Finale & "Ultra Short Track" Team Relay!
That's right, we're just one and a half weeks away from our traditional Series Grand Finale and Ultra Short Track Team Relay! All the details are posted at http://www.portlandracing.com/short-track-finale-2013.html
The 25 available slots for the team relay race will be awarded on a first-come first-serve basis, so don't wait too long to register your team!

5) Winners of our Weekly Raffle!
David Phillips is the lucky winner of last Monday's grand raffle prize, a Moots Titanium Open Trail Stem (a $415 value!)! If you raced last week, make sure to check if you are one of the other lucky winners in our weekly raffle at http://www.portlandracing.com/weekly-prizes.html

Next Monday, we'll raffle off another Moots stem among all racers, in addition to a bunch of other great prizes. And like every week, we will raffle off a five-person Lumberyard "Party Pass" - good for a FREE day of shredding with four of your friends at the Lumberyard Bike Park - among all pre-registered racers. So pre-register today and make a chance to be a winner, regardless of where you end in the results!
