Hi OBRA,
I'm not much of a spammer, or an emailer, but this one benefits a friend, fellow Portlander, and former New Englander. Plus this list is pretty big and there are probably quite a few of you who snowboard or enjoy the mountains, so I have no shame!
ESPN X Games currently hold a "Real Snow" Video series that puts professional snowboarders up against each other for a pretty substantial cash prize and an X Games medal. Each selected athlete teams up with the editor of their choice to create a video that best represents snowboarding and a chance at winning the eight man bracket.
The contest is now in Round 2 for the "Real Snow Backcountry" series and one of the riders, Pat Moore, has decided to donate his "Fan Favorite" winnings to local Portlander Kevin Nimick and the ongoing battle that Kev's been having with various forms of Cancer, a single kidney, and the resulting stack of medical bills. The prize money will go to both Kevin and to the organization of Kevin's choice. The video itself was filmed and edited by a Bend filmmaker, Jake Price.
If some of you could take a little time to vote each day until this thing is through, here's the place to vote:

Watch the videos, vote for Pat, and help out some pretty good guys along the way.
Thanks!
