XTERRA BIKE FESTIVAL AT HOOD RIVER

For the third year the XTERRA America Tour returns to Hood River. Along

with this cutting edge multi-sport race, the tour has now expanded and

will include 3 bicycle events on Saturday, August 19. XTERRA invites all

the members and families of OBRA to come and enjoy our outdoor festival

and some fine events. Admission is free.

riders. Custom designed for riding conditions around Hood River and the

XTERRA Hood River course, these two pro's will do a classroom session full

negotiate your way back down. Learn from the folks who really know how to

shift your weight; how to setup your bike for these conditions, tire

pressures, what is the best gear to ride in; how to do downhill fast and

safe. After the classroom session you'll ride from the compound out to

the actual 2000 XTERRA course for a "ride with" critique and up close look

at what was discussed just moments before.    FREE

ancient tunnels cut through Oregon Granite and along the ledges built years

ago for the first East West highway to the east.

Registration starts at 9:30 am at the Hood River Marina. Buses will

transport riders, trucks will take the bikes from Hood River Marina to the

start of Scenic Highway in Mosier. An easy 8mile, escorted ride back to
