I'm looking to build a new Team in Portland/surrounding area focused on racing and a few key "longer events." The underlying goal is to create some visibility for our combat wounded Veterans.

In the past year, I've been riding for a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization called Team 4Mil (www.team4mil.org) which is dedicated to helping combat wounded Veterans recover, rehabilitate, and reintegrate through cycling.

In 2013, our Team broke the Race Across America 8-person Team record. Further, we helped an 8-person wounded Veteran Team complete RAAM as well. We were generously supported by ASSOS, FRS, Garmin, Honey Stinger, and a handful of other fine organizations/individuals.

In 2014, we're creating chapters in a half-dozen cities. With a focus on ultra-endurance races (Dirty Kansa, Gran Fondo Whistler, Gran Fondo New York, Gran Fondo San Diego, RAW, and RAO) and other local "interesting" events (races with gravel or just long days on the bike together). Further, I'd like us to help provide some mentoring as well as raising funds for wounded Veterans, and breaking a few course records (Race Across the West, Race Across Oregon, and FC 508).

I'm currently exploring interest in Portland.
