Hey OBRA-ites,
My friend Renee is helping to produce an interesting and unique bike and
running challenge at Stub Stewart State Park. It's based loosely on the
"Ride and Tie" style of race that horseback riders often do.
This looks like a really fun event - and I know they produce top notch fun
runs and races... Check it out if you are interested...

Subject: all runners and bikers
Hi running and biking friends. You may have seen something on Facebook, but
in case you didn't...
I'm putting on a new race, the Stubby Chase
,that involves trail running and mt.
biking at LL Stubb Stewart State Park
(40 min west of Portland) on October 5th and I'd love to have you win it.
It's a 2-person team event, where you and your teammate take turns running
and biking over a 13-mile course, visiting 10 checkpoints along the way.
There's one bike per team, so you get to choose your strategy for how you
split up the course - you can bike the first half while your teammate runs
it then switch, you could switch at every checkpoint, or you could run the
whole thing and your partner bikes the whole thing, or something else...
you decide.

Please think about racing it. If you'd rather, I am looking for volunteers
too.
And please, share this with your friends and clubs. It'll be a fun day for
sure.
Thanks,
Renee
