Hello OBRA,

I wanted to let all of you who are BTA members or prospective BTA members about a few fun events coming up in the next two weeks.

BTA Annual Member Meeting:
This is a member exclusive event (you can become a member on site!) and will be hosted at the Portland Art Museum on Thursday August 22nd 5:30-7:00pm. There will be food, beverages and a visit from the new PBOT director Leah Treat, who will be speaking. Stick around afterwards for $10 entrance to the Museum to see the Cyclepedia Exibit which I would highly recomend.

BTA Sunday Parkways Block Party:
Oh man this is going to be fun! Sunday Parkways and a big BTA style bash with beer, food and a special Salt and Straw "Sunday Parkways" ice-cream flavor (hmmm, tastes like active transportation?). Ride the Southeast route and then stop by Universal Cycles for some more fun. We are also looking for volunteer for this event.

Bikes Brews and Bluegrass ride:
This ride heads out from NE Portland and heads out to Sauvie Island and Kruger's farm on Thursday August 29th. Food, beer (Captured by Porches) and fruit picking along with the bluegrass tunes of Jack Straw. If this sounds like fun head over to the BTA website to sign up.

Please check out btaoregon.org for more information or to sign up to volunteer for the Sunday Parkways event or for the BBB ride.

I Hope to see you soon!
