Kruger's Kermesse - Course Update & Reminders

Hey folks!

Before heading out to the farm, I like to pass on a couple last-minute updates and reminders about today's Kruger's Kermesse CX Farm Crit.

----

1. Course Change: full loop for all categories!

After setting up the course yesterday and doing some hot laps, we decided to have all categories run the same course, including the extended loop in the far NE corner of the farm (which originally was only planned for the Cat A race). I updated the Google Maps course map to reflect this change: http://www.portlandracing.com/kermesse/course.html

BTW: yesterday, we had a ton of riders out there pre-riding the course and the verdict was unanimous: it's a very fast, fun and beautiful course, that will lead you through lush fields of berries, corn, pumpkins, and what not. A true farm crit! Most of the course is pretty smooth, but there are some bumpy sections, so don't go to skinny on the tires or too low on the tire pressure.

----

2. Reminder: Singlespeed riders race with Men B, Men C and Clydes at 11am.

Unlike previous editions, we will have the Singlespeed category race earlier in the day. That will spread the number or racers more evenly across all race heats, allow us to finalize results and podiums faster after the Cat A race, and give Cat A racers the opportunity to double up on racing for just $5 extra.

----

3. Don't forget to bring $5 cash for parking... and support the farm!

Like for all summer events at Kruger's Farm, there will be a $5/car parking fee for racers and spectators alike. This fee goes 100% to the farm. Please make sure to bring exact cash and bring some extra for lunch & drinks after your race (they'll have roasted corn, woodstove pizza and other grilled goodies). Also, make sure to drop by the Kruger's Farm Market Store while you're at it. They have some great deals on corn, pickles, melons and other local/seasonal produce. And in the morning hours, they will be serving FREE Nossa Familia coffee!

Looking forward to seeing you at the farm!
