My Wife went to her first cyclocross clinic last night at Alpenrose and absolutely loved it. The problem is that she did it on her VERY heavy MTB and she could barely pick up the bike to clear the barriers. She is 5'2" so we are looking for a 48 or so sized cross bike. Not looking for anything super fancy right now just a good basic bike.
I'm shopping for a high quality cross bike for my son Alex who measures in at 5'. 48-52cm bikes should work depending on brand. Looking for carbon frame with ultegra or comparable group level. Wheel set not necessary unless good condition tubulars. Wouldn't want to pay much more than 50% of retail unless mint condition. We are only in Portland until Thursday so email me if you can help.
