Just over a week until the return of Zaandercross on Saturday, 9/21. Race info/details at http://zaandercross.com/zaandercross/Blank.html
You'll want to rest up after the dual onslaught of Doublecross so you're ready for the challenging Zaandercross course.
A few updates to consider:

The Course- Most loved it, a few hated it, all thought it was tough. We listened, and have made some changes to make this year's course a total blast. We've taken out the first long sand run and have added some great terrain, a mini-flyover, and an awesome grass bowl. Still hard, more fun.

The Cause- All proceeds from Z2 will be donated to p:ear, working to improve the lives of Portland's homeless young adults and teens. We raised $5k last year, help us top that, invite your buddy to race. How cool is it that doing the thing you love (racing 'cross) can help give someone else a leg up.

The Points- Part of the GPET series. Keep chipping away and you could end up in that rocking leader's jersey. Also, points earned at Zaandercross (along with Doublecross and Barlow) will help you earn a call up at the first Cross Crusade race at Alpenrose.

The Prizes- We have awesome sponsors! $$'s for the top pro's. Bogs gift certificates and beer from the Commons Brewery for the top mortals

The Zaanderaffle- Several generous locals wanted to pitch in when they heard about the race. Vanilla bicycles has offered up the sexiest stem ever built, check it out:

West End Bikes has donated a gorgeous full Assos kit (jersey, gloves, shorts, socks, hat) worth over $500! We've got an awesome bottom bracket from the folks at Chris King and the Commons Brewery has offered up a beer tasting for 4 at their tasting room. Buy a ticket or 2 when you preregister or on the day of the race. You don't have to be present to win.
