News on the Elkhorn Classic Stage Race being held June 20th-22nd, 2003 in Baker City Oregon.
Registration closes June 14th, 2003. There is no day of race registration!
Current field sizes: Fields will be closed at 100 riders.
Pro 1,2: 51% full
Master's 40+: 46% full
Women: No worries
Men 3,4: 117% full. Absolutely packed. If you are not already registered then you will have to try again in 2004. Thank you for the support.
A lot of the big teams have not signed up as of today and I believe both the Master's and Pro 1,2 field will be near or at the field limits. Seems a lot of the California, Colorado, Canada, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Oregon riders will be meeting in Baker City to identify a regional stage race champion and compete for the 100% payout cash!

Check out www.elkhornclassic.com for stage details. If you have the time read the 2002 race report by Joe Zauner via the link on the web page and look at the photos of the 2002 event by clicking on Cheryl Willson's name also on the Elkhorn web site.
At the race:
Look for the soothing, rejuvenating, hands of Molly Carlson as she will be offering massages at the Best Western Hotel. Sign up sheets will be available at the Best Western.
Northwest Technical Support will be providing neutral wheel support and minor adjustments to your racing machine while you are at the race.
Don't forget the Shimano Kid's Race, downtown parade, free hotdogs, and apple pie, all on Saturday June 21st, in downtown Baker City.
