This race is fun for sure. The fact is is right in Portland (like Alpenrose and PIR) is amazing. How did you find that Dave? Riding there is pretty much a joy....almost as much as racing it.
Ironclad Rocks. I look forward to giving it my best. I think the thing I liked most about it last year was I had to stay focused on the lines I was taking for a vast majority of each lap. Good experience riding “different surfaces” this early in the season. Some fast sections and some stuff to test your explosive levels.
Support this race if you can and lets help Kira with her battle.
Think about how fortunate we are to have our health and so many great obra races all around our state to race and support.

Subject: [OBRA Chat] Fazio Farms, the home stretch!
We're almost there! The best one day, non-series race of the OBRA CX schedule is upon you this Sunday, the 22nd! Enjoy a leisurely Saturday, then get used to racing on Sundays again!
We have a giant prize list. The payout is equal for men and women's A fields. The weather could not be better as we're preparing the fields and hills for your enjoyment. 3 kegs of ice cold (FREE) Tecate lay in wait for the racers. (non racers, we'll ask for donations)
We're busting our humps to get the course all ready for you. Some updates:
1. If you bring your kids, watch them. The rock piles and aggregate piles are not toys and children will be ordered to get off of them. Also, be advised, there is NO kiddie cross. Too much beer and danger.
2. Volunteers - we're all set. We no longer need volunteer help.
3. Prize list is insane: Rapha, PDW, Laura Green massages, Nutcase helmets, Ironclad gloves, Chrome goods, bags of Stumptown and Nossa Familia, and on and on and on.
4. We'll be taking donations for beer, but more importantly for the Kira Crawford Cancer Offense fund, to help our battling teammate out as she takes on cancer for a 2nd time. So, look for the big jars with Kira's name on it and throw a buck or two in there.
5. Parking is extremely limited, bring a day bag, ride your bike to the race. I repeat: ride your bike to the race if you can. If our small parking space gets full, you'll be parking a mile away.
6. Do yourself, and us, a favor and pre-register. We'd appreciate it.
Here's the race flyer: http://www.obra.org/flyers/2013/fazio_farms.pdf
See you Sunday!
