Fazio Farms CX - LOCK AND LOAD!

Dave Aldersebaes

2013-09-20

We're just about ready to go! We have to lay the course out with tape and
cones over Saturday and Sunday once we get the equipment truck from OBRA.
Pre riding will be race day. Don't go poking around a farmer's private land
Saturday trying to pre-ride it.

Somebody had too much time and an earth mover, and we've made the course
even more radical. There's more climb than last year, for sure. There's
also a berm you can rail coming off the dinosaur back that leads to the
single track. There's a few sneak peeks at the Facebook Event Page:

Obra flyer is here: http://www.obra.org/flyers/2013/fazio_farms.pdf

Help us out, and pre-register.

Here is a fairly accurate course map : http://goo.gl/maps/u4sVX

The Tecate Beer Garden is all set. Racers get free beer, just show your
race numbers. Non racers, we'll gladly accept your donations for the Kira
Crawford Cancer Offense fund in exchange for beer. Please drink
responsibly.

Weather looks to be awful cyclocrossy. Be prepared. It's a working farm,
and aside from the porto's and a bike wash, there are no amenities and no
shelter. Again - BE PREPARED. Team areas available, but if the ground get
saturated, you'll have to haul your stuff from your car.

No Call Ups. We're an independent, non-series race. You start where you
start.

Limited parking - carpool, or ride your bike if you can. Bring a bag with
warmth and water protection.

Be courteous and polite. This is private property and we're very grateful
the Fazio family is allowing us to use their land to play bikes. Use the
port-o-potties. Pick up your trash. Be nice. Keep control of your kids if
you bring them. Keep your dogs leashed (and pick up after them).

We've worked very hard to bring you what we feel is the most exciting and
unique course on the CX schedule. Please come support this independent
race!
