The gang at Rebound/Tireless Velo would like to thank everyone who came out on Saturday to help make the 2nd edition of Zaandercross another great event. We had a blast making Z2 happen and we hope you enjoyed the course. A few shout outs-

- To the 450+ racers who braved the sand, rain & mud and helped to contribute to p:ear. There were numerous racing options this weekend and we were glad to have you.

- Major kudos to our OBRA officiating crew. The OBRA racing community is so lucky to have such friendly, hardworking, and capable people supporting our races. Always impressed.

- We had a terrific group of volunteers that were integral to making things flow smoothly- thanks

- Z2 had terrific sponsorship support from the likes of Bogs footwear, Vanilla bicycles, West End Bikes, The Commons Brewery, Rebound Orthopedics & Neurosurgery, and Chris King

- Camas Bike Shop did a great job manning the pits and Sellwood cycles provided able bodied mechanics as well.

Thanks for coming out and racing your butts off. Was anyone else blown away by Erik Tonkin's last second decision to race, grabbing a nearby mountain bike, and just killing it? I was equally impressed by the juniors' grit and determination in pounding through those sand sections during an all-out monsoon. The future bodes well for PDX 'cross. Please feel free to pass any comments or suggestions on to us as to how we can bring you an even better race next year.
