My superbly funky old pickup truck does not do well with bicycles. My last station wagon was a Volvo 960. So what can the OBRA crowd tell me about modern station wagons? Most of the ones I've seen don't appear to have room to carry a bike in the back. I am trying to avoid an SUV. I'm looking for storage space, ( I won't be using the the rear seat), reliability, and cheap operation/maintence.

So what works and what doesn't?
