Good deal on a new gun holster....RE: a refreshment on crazy drivers

Carry a gun? That's bazaar.

We were sorting through our son's room yesterday, in preparation for his

move to D.C., and found the perfect "gun holster" that is specifically

designed to fit under a jersey. The packaging even has a picture of a

banana in the pocket outside to show how "natural" it looks....

The holster came as a surprise addition to a box lot of bicycle gear

that we purchased during an auction of misc. goods from a local bike

shop several years back.

When we made the rediscovery yesterday, I made a joke that, "since it

was still in it's packaging that maybe we should try selling it on

e-bay". Now with your comment I'm not certain it was such a joke after

all!

Bonnie

P.S. The label also reads, "Not to be used for water sports" Duh!

A few years ago, when I was 19, a VERY similar

incident happened to me. Upon calling the Portland

police, the officer told me he could do nothing, but

he told me that I should start carrying a gun while I

ride....

he drove by at about 50mph. missing me by less

than 12". slammed on his

brakes, jumped out and did a "try to scare me"

punch. my friend ended up

in

the ditch cause he turned around and saw how close

the guy was to us. then

the guy was all over in my friends face yelling

and doing more of his

pretend punches. i missed most of the

"conversation" when i was getting

the

cell phone out. i called home and left the plate

number and descriptions

on

my answering machine so i could call the sherrif

when i got home.

there were e-mails earlier this year regarding

what to do if you

encounter

 a

crazy driver. I had an incident yesterday, got

the license number along

 with

descriptions of both the truck and the guy. when

I called the sheriff I

 was

told it was freedom of speech and nothing could

be done.
